Era is a musical project founded by French musician Éric Lévi, former member of the rock group Shakin' Street.
The first album, Era, released in 1996, achieved great success in France and abroad, as did the single « Ameno » which was taken from it.
The third album released in 2003, The Mass , in an inspiration close to Carmina Burana, enjoyed great commercial success by mixing original music themes performed by a choir (singing in an invented language mixing lain, english and arab), with electric guitar, strings and synthesizers; music that could be described as new age.
