This program is a screening with live music of several classic French silent films. The Mystery of the Rocks of Kador (1912 Léonce Perret) is the feature, with a new score by French composer Régis Huby. This cerebral, Hitchcockian murder mystery is notable for its complex plot and camera-work that is ahead of its time. Also, several Max Linder short comedies will be screened with new scores by Chuck Holdeman, Greg Bowers and Chris McGlumphy. Live music accompaniment for all films will be performed by the 8 member Relâche ensemble.
