Sheet music for flute
Composer : Ernesto Köhler
Beginning and middle of Cycle II
These Lessons Op. 93, each consisting of the triptych exercise / study / piece, could almost have been placed in our "pedagogy" section as their complete, progressive content built around the tones is similar to that of our Method 3.
The preliminary exercises begin with a warm up of "spun" sounds (swollen and diminished), then range, range in thirds - fourths, fifths, sixths and more chromatic in Op. 93/2 - and tonic chords and dominant seventh. All with a very wide variety of articulations.
The studies are in fact studies A / B / A / Coda in this style very nineteenth specific to this student of Cesare Ciardi having finished his career in the orchestra of the Imperial Ballet of Saint-Petersburg.
The piece is in fact a very virtuosic duet with accompaniment that requires the help of the teacher or a great student.
The CD that we had the heart to add to complete this collection contains a demonstration of all studies and duets with more play-back of the latter to allow the student to repeat with the accompaniment.
