Groove method on bass
Author: Bruno Tauzin
Content: 1 Book + 1 Disc
How do you “do the same thing” without ever “playing the same thing” on bass? This is the question answered by this method. How to accompany the same grid, or the same agreement, while constantly renewing itself? In order to never tire, both the listener and the bassist that you are ... Thus, the objective of this method is to help you develop your creativity, by example and by practice. So little blah-blah, but a lot of music ... with 25 basslines evolving in 4 different ways, making a total of some 100 distinct grooves. To guide you down this path, each initial groove starts out calmly, simply, then grows, both rhythmically and melodically, over the next 3 cycles. To develop your creativity to the maximum, these grooves obviously use different tones and very varied rhythms. On the disk attached to the method, you will find several audio and video files. The videos (mp4) showcase the 100 grooves as they should be played, at normal speed and then in slow motion. The audio recordings (mp3), for their part, offer the corresponding playbacks, again at two different tempi. You will therefore be able to play the proposed grooves there in your turn, in the order or the disorder, while trying to "load" the lines or, on the contrary, to "purify" them; or take advantage of these charts and backing tracks to freely develop your own ideas.
