The two minuets presented here, probably among the most famous pieces from the Little Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach, are taken from a harpsichord suite in G major by J.S. Bach. In the manuscript of the original work, the instruction to repeat the first minuet in G major at the end of the minuet in G minor suggests that these two pieces should be considered as an inseparable whole
