This collection of 40 arrangements of the famous classical Masterpieces for piano, presented by Schott, contains a selection of works that is suitable for pupils in their first years of piano lessons. The volume contains compositions ranging from Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706) to Alexander Grechaninov (1864-1956), providing playing material from the baroque period to the early 20th century. As well as many individual pieces, this volume also includes easy sonatas and sonatinas by Haydn, Clementi, Mozart and Beethoven. Complete with fingerings, tempo suggestions in the form of metronome marks and notes on the execution of ornaments, this collection with its modern, readable typeface is ideal not only for lessons, but also for private music-making.
