Sheet music 2 cellos
24 pieces alternately and in relay for 2 cellos
Degree: easy (1) to difficult (7)
All the so-called "Chamber Music" ensembles strive to build their technique, so as to obtain perfect homogeneity (timbre, accuracy, rhythms and nuances). This collection in three parts, unique in its kind, allows to exercise and prepare the ear for this purpose, essential to the listening of these concepts.
All pieces can be played in any order chosen by the teacher, depending on the degree of the student. The author having taken care to give the first and second cello the same difficulties, it will be easier to bring together two students of the same level (especially if their lessons are consecutive), in order to promote collective music, objective of the collection.
These relays of chained and alternating sounds from one cello to another encourage performers to listen to their partner note by note, thus developing auditory memory, and to exercise extreme concentration.
To avoid the difficulties due to the juxtaposition of the two hands, the first of these three parts will be reserved for the open string relays; the conclusion of this part proposes a more conventional writing.
Consider the second part as a more entertaining musical interlude, the result of listening work.
The third and last part of the notebook shows that contemporary sounds are also adaptable to this technique. It can be performed from two musicians, regardless of the family of instruments. May this work be of interest to Chamber players and help them progress in their Art!
