Astor Piazzolla was born on the1th March 1921 in Mar Del Plata (Argentina). He started his musical studies in New York, where e stayed for 13 years. In 1954 the French Government awarded him a grant so that he could study in Paris with Nadia Boulanger. After completing this study period, Astor Piazzolla composed a series of works which became classics for dancing, such as:
ADIOS NONINO, which he wrote in New York as a tribute to his father when he died is still his most outstanding composition, and his most recorded work on a worldwide basis, with recordings lasting from 3 to 30 minutes.
