Corpus volubilis is a tribute to the body, to its movements, its weightlessness. It was written in recent years, during my long concert tours around the world, and during the confinement of April 2020. In this first book we will find twenty pieces of medium difficulty, most of them inspired by dance, such as Sarabande, Slow Waltz and Rumba. Odette refers to Swan Lake, Sama to the whirling dervishes. Avant-deux and Roum are linked to Breton dance (a nod to my origins), Awa Odori and Buto to Japanese dance, Guinean Soko, Basque Ezpata-dantza. In Ubud, a municipality in Bali, one of the major Indonesian art festivals is held. Faune thanks Debussy, Vaudou la Caraïbe. As for my Death of the Swan, it pays homage to the classic ballet of the same name. My swan lacks elegance. Without a tutu, he dies ugly and clumsy. Each piece is dedicated to a dear friend.
