DANSEZ AVEC CLAUDE BERSOUX N°12
Piano or accordion and chords
Claude Bersoux started to play the accordion at the age of 8, and at 14 he was playing for local dances. In 1953, he got to know some bandleaders and was hired to play in dance halls. At the age of 17 he fell in love with Argentinean tangos and learned to play the bandoneon. In 1954 he worked for a season in the casino at Salins-les-Bains and then in the Perros Guirec casino. In 1958 he had the good fortune to meet the flautist Lou Gamme, and he played in his band for 6 years. During the same period, he joined the teaching staff of the Champigny music school and for 17 years gave lessons when not giving gala performances. Then he started up his own band with six musicians and toured France for 8 years. Since then, he has given over more of his time to teaching.
