Eric Bouvelle has won a large number of medals including that of the 1988 World Accordion Championship. At that time the SACEM (=PRS) board of directors awarded him the prestigious prize for the best wind instrument player, both for jazz and for popular dance music. Eric Bouvelle is proud to have two famous people who helped him along: Jo Privat, with whom he wrote his first composition in 1987, “Valse en Couleurs” (Colourful Waltz), and Maurice Larcange, with whom his collaboration was very prolific, and ho got him into the “prodigies” team at the age of 16. Amongst his recent compositions there is one of his best:, the waltz entitled “Coeur de Français” (A Frenchman‘s Heart), written in collaboration with Bruno Lorenzoni.
